Shampoodle - Spring/Summer '15

After a long and frustrating wait (grrrr shipping delays) our edit from Shampoodle has finally arrived so we thought this would be a great opportunity to tell you a little more about this sustainable kids fashion brand and their style.

Started in 2006, Shampoodle create "Childishly comfortable clothes" with an emphasis on playful silhouettes in organic cotton. Many of their clothes are unisex and are shown modelled on both girls and boys. Shampoodle have always strived to produce their collections as sustainably as possible, working hard to be social aware and responsible. I love these pictures from their blog, from the factory they work with in India, and their 'Extended Family'. This is the opposite of a large company that does everything it can to hide the origins of it's clothes and the conditions of it's workers. Shampoodle are rightfully proud of the conditions their clothes are produced in, and we are proud to stock (and wear) them.

Here are a few of our favourite pieces for this season...

Above: Shampoodle Barking Society Balloon Top - Grey marl organic cotton in a fun balloon shape with 3/4 length sleeves. Shampoodle Azure Blue Bollywood Pants - Full shaped trousers in light voile cotton with elasticated waist and ankles and drop-crotch silhouette.

Above: Shampoodle Green Society Hood Jacket and Shampoodle Green Society Pants. With raw edges on the jacket, fun baggy trouser shape and heavy loop-back organic cotton jersey material, these two make a great kids tracksuit when worn together, or work just as well mix-and-matched with other pieces.

 1. Shampoodle Light Wash Denims 2. Shampoodle Cactus Flower Racer Dress 3. Shampoodle Peach Amazing Tee Dress 4. Shampoodle Blue Stripe La Plage Pants.

Cool, eh?.
