Some trends in fashion arrive slowly and with stealth. Inch by inch a hemline rises or a trouser width narrows until one day you turn around and notice that there are only skinny jeans in your wardrobe or everyone is wearing midis or dungarees or some such item. Other trends seem to arrive all in a big rush, apparently picked up on and interpreted by a huge variety of brands and labels, all in the same season. The Botanical trend is one of those, currently huge in women's fashion, interiors and in the world of children's clothing too. Last summer, as we looked at the SS16 collections, we realised that the Botanical trend was going to be big news this year. So much so that two of of our brands, Tinycottons and Agatha Cub had even named their whole collections 'Botanical'. With prints varying from abstract to illustrative, witty or sophisticated, lush tropicals leaves, potted houseplants and quirky cacti have sprouted and crept all over the collections.
Take a look at our whole Botanical Inspiration collection, and enjoy a few of our highlights below.

The new Botanical prints work brilliantly when they are miss-matched. By combining hand drawn botanical illustrations, photographic prints and bold stripes shown above, we had fun creating a look that feels fresh and contemporary. For a more playful take on the trend we love the juicy green prints shown here from Nadadelazos, Noe & Zoe and Agatha Cub. Cacti, palm leaves and grass-green daubs all give a summery feel, like bringing a little bit of the garden inside.
